Middle School Art Club

Art club this year will start with the second semester and is for students in grades 7 and 8. All young artists, and artists-to-be, are encouraged to attend. The club will meet once a week in the art room, schedule permitting. Some of the projects planned for this year include making mosaic stepping stones for the new and improved green space behind the cafeteria, including 'Marge's Garden'. In 2007 that garden space was dedicated to Marge Tellier, a beloved custodian in the Middle School. Mosaic stepping stones will be a nice addition, lending year-round color while discouraging weeds. The art club wil be seeking community sponsors for each stone, with sponsor recognition designed into each piece. Other projects will include using the computer lab to learn about and play with some of the new discoveries being made by the WilliamsonConnests! group. WC! is a local research and development project helping to integrate our local community with the global community through new technology resources. Parent volunteers are needed to help support art club fundraising activities at school and community events. Please call or e-mail Mr. Brown if you are interested in lending a hand.
